It’s a cold winter in Nevada. I drove from Southern California to spend Christmas time in what I call “The Electric City”, Las Vegas. This city has a huge advantage compared to other places for the time-lapse photography professional as the nightlife never stops. I was taking photographs all night, every night, and went to sleep during the day. Good times!
Surprisingly, I could use the tripods everywhere around The Strip but I didn’t block pedestrians on the sidewalks and bridges. No problems with security guards at all. The atmosphere was just incredible. This made things easy but the winter winds were killing me.
I found a good spot to capture the Las Vegas skyline from Henderson and another one from the northern side of the city called Sunrise Mountain.
After this trip our LapseVegas project was born!
