Today I went to the Hollywood Boulevard to document another movie premiere. This time the cast of the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw took the spot light.

It was a hot summer afternoon with temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I arrived an hour before the event and the boulevard was already packed with movie fans waiting for their favorite actors to get photos and autographs.

On my way to Twenty Nine Palms I stopped by a wind farm located in North Palm Springs for a quick time-lapse photo sequence as the scenery of those giant turbines and the clouds was irresistible; then I drove to the Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center before getting into Joshua Tree. There was a special event for astronomy enthusiasts open to the general public at the observatory.

This was my third year in a row helping the Friends of The L.A. River organization to document their clean-up.

It is unbelievable the amount of trash volunteers collect every time they are called to participate in these events. I have seen mattresses, personal computers, shopping carts, televisions, clothes, and car parts, just to name a few things that nobody would expect to find near the river.

First Trip To Boston

This has been our first short trip to Boston, Massachusetts. Every time I plan for a trip to a new city I usually spend a significant amount of time doing research about where to capture the skyline and the availability of public transportation. I also make a list of public parks with nice views and the hours they are open so I go straight to the point when I arrive. The weather was fine the first day but we had to deal with temperatures dropping overnight for the rest of our stay.

This year Randy had the opportunity to visit Mexico several times. The photo sequences from México City and Quintana Roo are unbelievable. The Mexican culture is so rich and eclectic that I would recommend everyone to visit that country at least 5 times. I have been to Baja California only, which is so easy for me because I live just a few hours from the border crossing but I will talk about that in the future.
