Today was a day for car enthusiasts in Los Angeles. The annual Downtown Burbank Car Classic Show was a hit. Lots of people, amazing atmosphere, cool cars, music and a wide variety of food from local restaurants.
I noticed an usual number of police officers working at this event. I guess the fact that a mass shooting happened earlier in El Paso, Texas made all police departments in the nation take precautionary measures to protect people from copycat shooters.
ve to start by saying that this premiere was both scary and obscure from the audience’s perspective. I arrived earlier than usual and could walk around to scout for the best spots to take photos and record video from.
Everything seemed easy in the beginning until the boulevard got packed with tourists and movie fans across the street from the Chinese Theatre. As you can see in the photos below the crowd got so big that it was almost impossible to move around. I could barely raise the tripod to put the camera above people’s heads, and things got a little hectic when I started hearing passersby screaming “move… keep moving.”
July 20th, 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, an event that changed the world forever. Just a month before the Woodstock Music Festival that attracted more than 500,000 people here on Earth, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edward “Buzz” Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the moon.
Today I went to the Hollywood Boulevard to document another movie premiere. This time the cast of the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw took the spot light.
It was a hot summer afternoon with temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I arrived an hour before the event and the boulevard was already packed with movie fans waiting for their favorite actors to get photos and autographs.
Every Los Angeles suburb has practically a piece of history attached to it and Pasadena is not an exception. Today I went to explore that city for photogenic spots and stopped by the Casa Grande neighborhood where Edward and Alex Van Halen grew up and formed their band.
